Internet Based Business Tips (seo web design) For Success

By Michael Laleye

Priorities differ from goals in that priorities list what you have to do in order to accomplish your goals. This list should include items such as what you want to learn, do, and research that will bring new customers to your internet based business. Is there a new strategy being talked about on business and internet marketing message boards? These priorities don’t only have to be about sales and marketing. For instance, one of your priorities may be how to add more value to your internet business website to create more interest from your current visitors. This list will be your way forward in creating a successful internet based business, as well as a way to see where you have been.

Tip 2: Set time each day for work or study.

Some people may feel that they need to be online all day in order to get their internet based business to turn a profit. The truth is all you need is a set amount of time a day in which you will commit to working on your internet based business without interruption. Even if it’s only a few hours a week. Being able to work without distractions goes a long way especially for beginners who need to learn before doing. Besides, the goal for many people who start internet based business is to not have to sit at a desk all day. An efficient time spent learning, doing, and researching from a list of your priorities is a great way to spend time building your internet based business.

Tip 3: Write down new ideas and commit them to paper instead of trying to remember them.

Try to write down new ideas for bringing traffic and sales to your website as they come to you. No matter how insignificant they seem at the moment. There may be a time when that idea or thought comes in handy. You might even have new ideas for priority setting that will help your business get to the next level.

Tip 4: Refer to what you write down until each goal is completed.

Don’t just write down new ideas but refer to them often until they are fully explored. Every little bit of traffic and knowledge helps when building your internet home business. You will have to go through much trial and error when you run a business online. Constant action is an asset that will be invaluable to you. That is why you should explore every method and idea as time permits. But don’t try to explore all your ideas at once. That will surely pull you in too many directions and you are likely to frustrated which is counter productive. Instead dedicate a week or more to one idea and then move on to the next after you have successfully tested it.

At first it takes a lot of momentum to get the ball rolling for your internet based business, but once you get become more comfortable with your work and business tasks they will take less time and some tasks can eventually be automated.

How Do I Use This Thing, Wordpress
By Jeffrey Solochek

All the internet marketers are telling us to build our sites in Wordpress but have you ever tried to configure a Wordpress site? At least with Google’s Blogger there are some great training screenshots and videos of how to do everything step by step. Every marketer that I get email from is always offering some Wordpress thingamajig. Even on the Wordpress site you can find some great plugins and themes but the one thing that is lacking the most is some sort of instructions of how to use these plugins or themes.

I have used Fantastico which comes with my hosting to install and configure Wordpress on all of my sites. The Wordpress manual is like reading one of those manuals that Microsoft gives you with their products. Great if you are some boring intellectual but not for the every day common person. These marketers are also all talking about web video being a great new trend but then why don’t more of them offer some step by step Wordpress videos?

I have used the Web to do extensive research on how to videos and the best ones I have found are from companies who you never would have thought would have provided this stuff. Microsoft has some great Free video trainings for all of their Visual products like VB, VC, and Visual Studio.

I just visited the Wordpress site, very little help, no instructions for installing optional pluggins or themes, no video how to’s used Drupal and Joomla and they are so much more than just a blog plus they had a lot of great help both in documentation plus a forum where you can talk to other users.

The advantage for people who install Wordpress is the fact that every time you make a post Wordpress automatically pings a bunch of sites. Other blogs all have an add on module that will do this pinging but for some reason every marketer says that Wordpress does it better. Plus Wordpress has fields for tags, keywords and trackback’s that are all with the basic features.

Wordpress or somebody who knows Wordpress needs to come out with a video that teaches you everything in one day. The could then call it Wordpress in one day video instructions. The best video tutorials I have seen on Wordpress do not come from these Internet Marketers. I should say not from the over hyped marketers. If somebody is selling something regardless of whether or not they make a living online they are still a marketer of some sort.

Most of the information I have obtained from these marketers who make their living online are always missing something. I think they do this on purpose though. Some web hosting companies offer some basic video tutorials which you get free as a hosting customer. If you really want to find some good videos that will give you everything you want to know in a day of less then I suggest you do a search for “Wordpress in a day”. Or “Wordpress in one day”.

Wordpress can create a nice blog site for you but you just have to learn it first. Look at the theme I now have on my site. This was a free Wordpress theme that I got directly from the Wordpress site. Installing it took a little bit of trial and error though since I could not find any instructions on how to do so.

9 Quick Online Safety Tips
By Joyce Jackson

On line safety basics are available to protect your child from the violence, explicit language, pornography, sex, nudity, gambling, predators, viruses, spyware, and adware and WHEW! Anything else that might be out there?

Being online is fun for everyone. Preventing these problems can be as easy and as simple as your child learning to buckle up their seat belt every time they get into a car.

While these are some of the threats that your kids can encounter while on line, you can teach them how to keep themselves safer. And since you can’t monitor them all the time, you need to find ways to teach your child how to protect themselves from these threats. Here are some of those ways:

1. Teach them to keep themselves safe and secure. Talk to them about personal security while using the internet. Tell them to refuse giving any personal information to people they meet online. Talk to them about avoiding filling out membership and survey forms that would entail them to state their personal information.

2. Set up house rules to limit your kids’ internet access. Talk to your kids about what these rules are and have them agree to stick to them.

3. Discourage them from making personal profiles using online networking websites that can be viewed by anyone. Sites like MySpace create venues for online predators to access different personal information for their predatory purposes. If your kids already have profiles posted on the web, make sure that you know what pictures and personal information they post.

4. If your kids are young enough to use the regular web browser, download web-browsers that are made for kids. They filter bad websites and limit your kids’ access to pre-approved webpages.

5. Tell your child to avoid peer-to-peer (abbreviated P2P) file-sharing softwares. This is because viruses, spyware, and adware can freely enter your computer through these softwares.

6. Use internet filtering software to block bad websites from your computer. Anyone, including you or your child, can stumble upon adult websties.

7. Attend to your kids immediately if they report any uncomfortable online exchanges they have encountered.

8. If they enter chat rooms, tell them to stay in the public room so that the chat room administrator can monitor your conversation. Tell them to ignore private messages.

9. Tell them not to agree to meet personally with strangers they only meet online.

Finally them to approach you whenever they have any doubts on the emails and messages they receive, window popups that appears, and forms they were asked to fill-out. It will keep your child the safest they can be on the web.
